Fluance Launches Its New Flagship Turntable For Vinyl Vultures

The resurgence in vinyl’s popularity shows no signs of slowing down. Plenty of new turntables are streaming onto the market, tempting a whole new generation to develop a love affair with a medium over 100 years old.

Turntable brand Fluance is a manufacturer of high-performance turntables and home audio equipment. Today, the company announced its RT81+ turntable, which was announced in a press release today from Fluance.

The RT81+ is the next step in the evolution of the Elite vinyl record player series from Fluance and is designed to upgrade the flagship RT81 model. The new model has a sleek and contemporary design and includes an Audio Technica VM95E cartridge, an upgraded and dampened aluminum platter, plus a built-in preamp.

The RT81+ has been designed with upgradability so the turntable can be customized. The Audio Technica VM95E cartridge fitted to the RT81+’s tonearm has an elliptical diamond stylus for improved frequency response. The cartridge is mounted on a removable headshell with an adjustable counterweight. This enables the user to swap the stylus with any AT-VMN95-compatible upgrade stylus. The VM95E cartridge has a powerful 4.0mV output, which Fluence says “elevates the overall tonal quality of the acoustic experience.”

The new turntable has a 3mm acrylic mat and an upgraded dampened aluminum anti-resonant platter. The turntable’s newly introduced height-adjustable rubber conical isolation feet with three points of minimal contact, decreasing resonance.

The RT81+’s cabinet is made from high-mass MDF wood, which reduces vibrations to ensure the stylus provides the purest signal. Other details include a phono preamp from Texas Instruments and gold-plated RCA connections for attaching to an amplifier.

Users can connect the turntable directly to a pair of powered speakers, receivers or other audio devices.
